FAQ
Question 1. How can I fix the collision in UE5.1 so that I can use these up close and or have players walk on the islands?. Right now characters float or fall through them.
Answer
Hello, first make a backup of your floating island mesh.
Then you can remove simple collision and use Collision Complexity (Property): Use Complex collision as simple .
Then make a backup of the inst. floating island material and you can adjust:
Adjust Layer 1 tiling (Property) to 5000 for example.
Adjust Layer 2 tiling (Property) to 300 for example.
Then test your characters.
Remember always make a backup of the floating island meshes and floating island materials before modified them.
Another thing if characters fall remember that the original floating island material scale should be consider.
